Desert Surf

We came across this video while scouring youtube looking for new clips and then the title was Desert Adventure but the photo for the video showed bodyboarders so we were intrigued and said screw it lets check it out.  Basically these three Portuguese  shredders tear up this wave pool in this landlocked area in the United Arab Emirates. Enjoy the clip!

Mundaka Lefts

Being wave riders, one’s goal in life should be to be able to travel the world see new things and surf new breaks. Traveling the world can introduce one to new cultural experiences and experience surfing in an environment that may or maynot be similar to your local home break. Well one place that we would like to travel to, is this break Mundaka. Just take a look at these long, long, long lefts. Enjoy.

Stand-Up Bodyboarding

Whoever first dared to stand up on a bodyboard is a pure innovator. One of the first people that we seen stand-up on a bodyboard was Chris “wonton” Taloa. He was just a pure waterman, good on both prone and dropknee. Well following in those foot steps we stumbled upon this El Salvadorian they call “Zancudo.” The clip says it all, enjoy!

Is the Bat-Tail dead?

20140330-205437.jpg

We were curious how many people still ride a bat-tail board? The only tour riders that we know of that still ride a bat-tail are Jeff Hubbard, Jacob Romero, Skipp, and JMV. When looking at how Science Bodyboards has kind of transitioned from being a company that had a good amount of bat-tailed shaped boards to their 2013-2014 range barely showing any. So we were curious, is the bat-tail shape dead?
